Evaluation Ideas - Question 7

The last question in which I need to answer to complete my evaluation is 'Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?'

This question involves me looking into depth about what i have learn't and what progress i have made through the progression of our opening sequence. I can discuss and explain that the use of planning, shot listing and story-boarding as helped to make progression towards the final product. I can also go onto explaining how my camera skills have progressed through learning simple shots in my preliminary task to more advanced skills i now have present in my main task.

Evaluation Ideas - Question 6

The sixth question i have to answer is 'What have your learnt about technologies form the process of constructing this product?

When answering this question i will need to take into account all the technologies that i have used over the course of completing my opening sequence. i will also need to discus the technology i used for the pre-production of the project along with production and post production.

I plan to answer this question through the use of a power point.

Evaluation Ideas - Question 5

The fifth question which is part of the evaluation is 'How did your attract/address your audience?'.

I plan to answer this part of the evaluation through the use of 'Prezi' where i can discuss how we as a group made it appeal to the audience we aimed for through the use of sound, mise-en-scene and editing.

Evaluation Ideas - Question 4

The forth question I need to answer for my evaluation is 'Who would be the audience for your media product?'.

For this part of the evaluation I am thinking of presenting it through a news broadcast. Within this news broadcast I will advertise it and talk about the audiences in which we are aiming our film at. I will also talk about the film ratings to address the age group our audience.

Evaluation Ideas - Question 3

The third questions in which I need to answer for the evaluation of my opening sequence is 'What kind of media institutions might distribute your media product and why?'. For this question i am thinking about filming myself where I'll be able to talk and compare different media institutions in order to find the best one for our media product.
For example I can talk and explain how institutions like 'Walt Disney' and 'Pixar' wont be someone  who will distribute my media product due to them focusing on distributing animation films whereas mine is based on horror and not animated. Institutions such as 'Hammer' or 'Paramount Pictures' are more likely to distribute my media product.

Evaluations Ideas - Question 2

How does your media product represent particular social groups?
For the second question for the evaluation I have to think about how my opening sequence represents particular social groups. This will involve me talking about the class, race, age, gender and sexuality of the character used within my opening sequence.

To answer this part of the evaluation I plan to do a video that shows pictures and annotations from my opening sequence in which i will do a voice over on describing in more detail how it represents a particular social group.

Evaluation Ideas - Question 1

In order to evaluate our preliminary task, I have 6 questions in which I should answer that will give a detailed analysis of what we did.
The first question that I will need to answer is: 'In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?'.
To answers this question I was thinking maybe about doing it in the form of a directors interview in which I can effectively talk about the editing, camera shots, costume and location within my opening sequence. I could also have my opening sequence playing in the background in which I could refer back to showing examples of different shots used and then giving an explanation as to why we used it to develop or challenge forms of real media products.
Below is an example of an actors interview of the film 'SkyFall':

Even though this interview is asking the actor questions it still shows a good representation of what I intend to do. I aim to talk about editing within our opening scene, and how we increase the tension for the audience when the district nurse enters the cellar.
