Preliminary task - Short film

In order to meet the criteria which was asked in the preliminary task, my group decided we should plan and discuss camera shots and angles through doing a story board:


We used many different camera shots and angles in our preliminary task. Here are some screen shots from our short film of the type of shots we used:



This first camera shot we did was a long shot. By using this type of camera shot first makes a stable shot that can accommodate movement without us having to reframe.




This next shot was a close up shot through a door window. We used this type of shot to show the character looking in, possibly searching for someone.






This is a point of view/shot reverse shot. We used this to allow the audience see what the character looking through the door is looking at. this shot could possibly be used to change the audiences point of view to create a certain effect.




This is a wide shot. this shot allows the audience to see a large area in which the short film is set.









We then edited these shots all together to make one short film for our preliminary task:
